Bosch AXT 25 TC Review
Sporting Bosch’s new “Turbine Cutting Technology” that boasts of lesser blockages than other shredders, the Bosch AXT 25 TC is fast, powerful and has a throughput that is near impossible to beat.
Powered by a 2500W motor and with the Turbine Cutting technology from Bosch, the AXT 25 TC can shred an incredible 230kg/hr. It can shred trimmed hedges, twigs and even small branches, both soft and hard, of up to 45mm in diameter. The shredder also has a collection box capacity of 53L, that is designed in such a way that the shredder does not start unless the collection box is connected. The Turbine Cutting Technology blades are designed in a drum-like shape that tilts to one end so that shredded debris slides into the collection box. This ensures minimal blockage. The motor supplies 41 rotations per minute in cutting speed and 650Nm of torque which is enough to slice through any type of branch. It’s cut and crush method reduces the required storage space by 30%. A patented Block Release System also allows blockages to be removed without removing the hopper.
Using the Bosch AXT 25 TC is a walk in the park for any user. It is fitted with a touch pad control panel with a pulse reverse control to dislodge stuck material. User safety is also enhanced with the automatic feed system and a shielded mechanism that prevents work-related injuries. The feed system also prevents blockages. Wheels and a 67cm height ensure that movement and storage are not an issue. The AXT 25 TC is also a “quiet” Bosch model with a low noise factor for use in noise sensitive areas.
Cons of the Bosch AXT 25 TC include its heavy weight and the considerably short mains supply cord, which is only 4m. This severely limits the operating range of the Bosch.
